What is the 'Secret Technique' To Creativity in TTRPGs
A downloadable book
I have been thinking a lot about the term secret technique. It is the theme for the Make Literally Anything Jam by holly heckmaybe. For me, I do think there is a secret technique that has proven helpful in my journey as a creative in TTRPG hobby. I decided to use two games that I come back to as start examples:
Koriko by Jack Harrison and art by Deb JJ Lee
GURPS 4th Edition by Steve Jackson, Sean Punch, and David Pulver.
While these seem like two separate games with no connection, I think the secret technique to creativity lies in looking at these two games holistically. This essay discusses my secret technique I learned from these games.
Attached is a word doc and pdf version. In the devlog will be a text version as well. Please be sure to rate if folks appreciate this work.
